Truth for you to stand on during uncertain times!
FEELING ANXIOUS? Read these.
Joshua 1:9 AMP
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified or
dismayed (intimidated), for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Psalms 23 AMP
The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, to guide and to shield me], I shall not want. He lets
me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still and quiet waters. He refreshes and restores my soul (life); He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the [sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort and console me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You have anointed and refreshed my head with oil; My cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, And I shall dwell forever [throughout all my days] in the house and in the presence of the Lord.
Psalms 55:22 TPT
So here’s what I’ve learned through it all: Leave all your cares and anxieties at the feet
of the Lord, and measureless grace will strengthen you.
Psalms 56:3-4 TPT
But in the day that I’m afraid, I lay all my fears before you and trust in you with all my
heart. What harm could a man bring to me? With God on my side I will not be afraid of what comes. The roaring praises of God fill my heart, and I will always triumph as I trust his promises.
Philippians 4:6-7 NLT
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19 AMP
And my God will liberally supply (fill until full) your every need according to His riches in
glory in Christ Jesus.
Psalms 91: 1-7, 9-11 TPT
When you sit enthroned under the shadow of Shaddai, you are hidden in the strength
of God Most High. He’s the hope that holds me and the Stronghold to shelter me, the only God for me, and my great confidence. He will protect you from every hidden trap of the enemy, and he will protect you from false accusation and any deadly curse. His massive arms are wrapped around you, protecting you. You can run under his covering of majesty and hide. His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm. You will never worry about an attack of demonic forces at night nor have to fear a spirit of darkness coming against you. Don’t fear a thing! Whether by night or by day, demonic danger will not trouble you, nor will the powers of evil launched against you. Even in a time of disaster, with thousands and thousands being killed, you will remain unscathed and unharmed… When we live our lives within the shadow of God Most High, our secret hiding place, we will always be shielded from harm. How then could evil prevail against us or disease infect us? God sends angels with special orders to protect you wherever you go, defending you from all harm.
Psalms 94:19 AMP
When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, Your comforts delight me.
Psalms 112:7 NLT
They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them.
Proverbs 3:5-6 AMP
Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own
insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, and He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].
Proverbs 12:25 TPT
Anxious fear brings depression, but a life-giving word of encouragement can do
wonders to restore joy to the heart.
Isaiah 26:3-4 NLT
You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.
Isaiah 41:10 AMP
Do not fear [anything], for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will
strengthen you, be assured I will help you; I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victor, of salvation].
John 14:27 TPT
I leave the gift of peace with you- my peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the
world, but my perfect peace. Don’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts- instead, be courageous!
Isaiah 43:1-5 AMP
This is what the Lord, your Creator, says “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you [from
captivity]; I have called you by name; you are Mine! When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you. For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I have given Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in exchange for you. Because you are precious in My sight, You are honored and I love you, I will give other men in return for you and other peoples in exchange for your life. Do not fear, for I am with you.
Isaiah 46:3-4, 9-10 NLT
Listen to me- I have cared for you since you were born. Yes, I carried you before you
were born. I will be your God throughout your lifetime- until your hair is white with age.
I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you. Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me. Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish.
John 16:33 TPT
And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you
and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving
world you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for
I have conquered the world!
Hebrews 13:5-6 TPT
Don’t be obsessed with money but live content with what you have, for you always have
God’s presence. For hasn’t he promised you, “I will never leave you alone, never! And I will not loosen my grip on your life!” So we can say with great confidence: “I know the Lord is for me and I will never be afraid of what people may do to me!”
2 Timothy 1:7 TPT
For God will never give you a spirit of fear, but the Holy Spirit who gives you mighty
power, love, and self-control.
Matthew 6:25-34 TPT
This is why I tell you to never be worried about your life, for all that you need will be
provided, such as food, water, clothing- everything your body needs. Isn’t there more to
your life than a meal? Isn’t your body more than clothing? Look at the birds- do you
think they worry about their existence? They don’t plant or reap or store up food, and
yet your heavenly Father provides them each with food. Aren’t you much more valuable to your Father than they? So, which one of you by worrying could add anything to your life?
And why would you worry about clothing? Look at all the beautiful flowers of the field. They don’t work or toil, and yet not even Solomon in all his splendor was robed in beauty more than one of these! So if God has clothed the meadow with hay, which is here for such a short time and then dried up and burned, won’t he provide for you the clothes you need- even though you live with such little faith?
So then, forsake your worries! Why would you say, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ For that is what the unbelievers chase after. Doesn’t your heavenly Father already know the things your bodies require?
So above all, constantly chase after the realm of God’s kingdom and the righteousness that proceeds from him. Then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly. Refuse to worry about tomorrow, but deal with each challenge that comes your way, one day at a time. Tomorrow will take care of itself.
GOD’S GOT THIS! Reminders of God’s character and goodness.
Numbers 23:19 NLT
God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind.
Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?
Psalms 25:5 NLT
Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I
put my hope in you.
Luke 1:35-37 NLT
The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most
High will overshadow you… For the word of God will never fail.”
Psalms 32:7-9 TPT
Lord, you are my secret hiding place, protecting me from these troubles, surrounding
me with songs of gladness! Your joyous shouts of rescue release my breakthrough. Pause in his presence. I hear the Lord saying, “I will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life. I will advise you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide.”
Psalms 34:4-5 TPT
Listen to my testimony: I cried to God in my distress and he answered me. He freed me
from all my fears! Gaze upon him, join your life with his, and joy will come. Your faces will glisten with glory. You’ll never wear that shame-face again. When I had nothing, desperate and defeated, I cried out to the Lord and he heard me, bringing his miracle-deliverance when I needed it most.
Romans 8:37-39 TPT
Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them all, for God has
made us to be more than conquerors, and his demonstrated love is our glorious
victory over everything! So now I live with the confidence that there is nothing in
the universe with the power to separate us from God’s love. I’m convinced that
his love will triumph over death, life’s troubles, fallen angels, or dark rulers in the
heavens. There is nothing in our present or future circumstances that can
weaken his love. There is no power above us or beneath us- no power that
could ever be found in the universe that can distance us from God’s passionate
love, which is lavished upon us through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One!
Lamentations 3:21-26 AMP
But this I call to mind, therefore I have hope. It is because of the Lord’s lovingkindness
that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great and beyond measure is Your faithfulness. The Lord is my portion and my inheritance,” says my soul; “Therefore I have hope in Him and wait expectantly for Him.” The Lord is good to those who wait [confidently] for Him, to those who seek Him [on the authority of God’s word]. It is good that one waits quietly for the salvation of the Lord.
Psalms 40:1-5 NLT
I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He
lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord. Oh, the joys of those who trust the Lord, who have no confidence in the proud or in those who worship idols. O Lord my God, you have performed many wonders for us. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no equal. If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds, I would never come to the end of them.
2 Thessalonians 3:16 TPT
Now, may the Lord himself, the Lord of peace, pour into you his peace in every
circumstance and in every possible way. The Lord’s tangible presence be with you all.
Psalms 62:7-8 AMP
On God my salvation and my glory rest; He is my rock of [unyielding] strength, my
refuge is in God. Trust [confidently] in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him. God is a refuge for us.
Isaiah 64:8 NLT
And yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, and you are the potter. We all are
formed by your hand.
Colossians 1:11-13 TPT
And we pray that you would be energized with all his explosive power from the realm of
his magnificent glory, filling you with great hope. Your hearts can soar with joyful gratitude when you think of how God made you worthy to receive the glorious inheritance freely given to us by living in the light. He has rescued us completely from the tyrannical rule of darkness and has translated us into the kingdom realm of his beloved Son.
Psalms 146:5-6, 8 NLT
But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the Lord their God. He made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. He keeps every promise forever… He lifts up those who are weighed down.
Revelation 21:3-5 NLT
“Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be
his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or sin. All these things are gone forever.” And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” And then he said to me, “Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.”
1 Corinthians 15:57
But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 TPT
All praises belong to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he is the Father
of tender mercy and the God of endless comfort. He always comes alongside us to comfort us in every suffering so that we can come alongside those who are in any painful trial. We can bring them this same comfort that God has poured out upon us.
HOPE: Verses that put our Circumstances in Perspective.
Isaiah 40:31 AMP
But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] will gain new
strength and renew their power; they will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God]
like eagles [rising toward the sun]; they will run and not become weary, they will walk and not grow tired.
Jeremiah 17:7-8 NLT
But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and
confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.
1 Peter 1:13 TPT
So then, prepare your hearts and minds for action! Stay alert and fix your hope firmly on
the marvelous grace that is coming to you. For when Jesus Christ is unveiled, a greater measure of grace will be released to you.
Matthew 11:28-30 MSG
Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and
you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me- watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and rightly.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 NLT
“My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to
boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Philippians 3:15-16, 20-21 MSG
So let’s keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for
us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision- you’ll see it yet! Now that we’re on the right track, let’s stay on it.
There’s far more to life for us. We’re citizens of high heaven! We’re waiting on the arrival of the Savior, the Master, Jesus Christ, who will transform our earthy bodies into glorious bodies like his own. He’ll make us beautiful and whole with the same powerful skill by which he is putting everything as it should be, under and around him.
Colossians 3:15 TPT
Let your heart be always guided by the peace of the Anointed One, who called you to
peace as part of his one body. And always be thankful.
James 1:2-4 AMP
Consider it nothing but joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you fall into various trials.
Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance
[leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace]. And let endurance have its perfect result
and do a thorough work, so that you may be perfect and completely developed [in your
faith], lacking in nothing.
James 1:12 NLT
God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will
receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
MAGNIFY: Giving Him our Attention & Adoration
Psalms 73:23-26 TPT
You comfort me by your counsel; you draw me closer to you. You lead me with your
secret wisdom. And following you brings me into your brightness and glory! Whom have I in heaven but you? You’re all I want! No one on earth means as
much to me as you. Lord, so many times I fail; I fall into disgrace. But when I
trust you, I have a strong and glorious presence protecting and anointing me.
Forever you’re all I need!
Hebrews 3:1
Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts
on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest.
1 Peter 4:12-13 TPT
Beloved friends, if life gets extremely difficult, with many tests, don’t be bewildered as
though something strange were overwhelming you. Instead, continue to rejoice, for
you, in a measure, have shared in the sufferings of the Anointed One so that you can share in the revelation of his glory and celebrate with even greater gladness!
James 5:13 AMP
Is anyone among you suffering? He must pray. Is anyone joyful? He is to sing praises [to
God].
Psalms 138:1-3 AMP
I will give You thanks with all my heart; I will sing praises to You… I will bow down [in
worship] toward your holy temple and give thanks to Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth; for You have magnified Your word together with Your name. On the day I called, You answered me; and you made me bold and confident with [renewed] strength in my life.
1 Peter 5:6-10 TPT
If you bow low in God’s awesome presence, he will eventually exalt you as you leave the
timing in his hands. Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for he always tenderly cares for you. Be well balanced and always alert, because your enemy, the devil, roams around incessantly, like a roaring lion looking for its prey to devour. Take a decisive stand against him and resist his every attack with strong, vigorous faith. And then, after your brief suffering, the God of all loving grace, who has called you to share in his eternal glory in Christ, will personally and powerfully restore you and make you stronger than ever. Yes, he will set you firmly in place and build you up.
